Daniel Stone

Principal Hydrogeologist, Ph.D.

Dr. Stone is a geophysicist with more than 25 years of experience in applied hydrogeology and glaciology. He has experience in the application of numerical models to a variety of groundwater flow, contaminant fate and transport, and glaciologic problems.

His areas of expertise include the following: baseline hydrogeologic evaluations; the design and development of water-supply, dewatering, water-control, and water-disposal systems for both underground and open-pit mining operations and remediation projects; hydrogeologic assessments to support scoping, pre-feasibility, and feasibility studies; assessments/predictions of pore pressures in open-pit highwalls; water-resources studies for environmental impact analyses; numerical modeling of groundwater flow and chemical transport for water quantity/quality predictions; and assessments of glacier mass balance and sub-glacial water flow.

He specializes in mining hydrology, groundwater flow and transport modeling, geophysics, and glaciology.
