Fabian Dedecker
Principal Engineer
Dr. Dedecker is a Civil Engineer with over 20 years of experience in the geotechnical and mechanical engineering fields. His areas of specialization are wide and concern many scales: from microscopic scale with the analysis of the powder compaction to kilometric scale with the study of flow in fractured rock masses and nuclear-waste disposal researches, through middle scale with the optimization of granular assembly into containers such as lime kilns and the static and dynamic stability of rock dams. His works allow him to develop coupling procedures between ITASCA software but also between other software such as TOUGH2 (used for hydraulic and thermal behaviors) and FLACor PFC (for mechanical behavior). Thus his personal experience is based on a large product range from the discrete analysis (PFC2D and PFC3D) to continuum media (FLAC and FLAC3D).
