Catalina Álvarez
Senior Geomechanics Consultant
Dr. Álvarez has broad experience in numerical modeling projects related to underground mine design and subsidence. Her expertise includes slope stability analysis involving the calibration of time dependent (creep) material properties, a broad range of civil engineering projects (e.g., dynamic stability analyses of tailings dams, water reservoirs and waste dumps in highly active seismic areas), and in fully coupled thermal-stress 3D analysis of several RCC dams.
