This project involved simulating the proposed open pits and underground mining of the Aurora Mine in Guyana, predicting potential inflow rates into the pits and underground workings, and providing pore-pressure distributions to the geomechanical model.
Rodrigo Messias is a geomechanics software engineer with an academic background in chemical engineering, numerical modeling, and petroleum engineering. His areas of expertise are C/C++ programming, transport phenomena, and fluid thermodynamics. He currently works on the development team of XSite.
