Zack Walter
Project Hydrogeologist
Mr. Walter has worked on a range of hydrogeologic projects including groundwater models of flow and contaminant transport in groundwater systems and prediction of mine dewatering requirements, characterization of public drinking-water source aquifers, support to water right permitting and public hearings, support to state discharge permit compliance, and groundwater monitoring.
He has extensive hydrogeologic investigation experience in gathering of geologic and hydrologic data, identifying borehole sites and target depths, planning borehole drilling using appropriate technologies, conducting borehole geophysics tests and analyzing results, installing monitoring and dewatering wells, conducting aquifer tests and analyzing test results, and collecting water-quality samples.
He has also conducted well rehabilitations for increased efficiencies and downhole discrete water-quality sampling. Mr. Walter has created three-dimensional (3-D) geologic conceptual site models, built groundwater flow and fate and transport models, and presented results to stakeholders.
