Sarah E. Doyle

Senior Geochemist, Ph.D.

Dr. Doyle is an environmental geochemist with 17 years of experience working on issues related to mine water quality. She received her doctorate from Colorado School of Mines and conducted research on cycling of manganese in mining-impacted environments and its impacts to associated elements, including molybdenum, lead, copper, and zinc.

As a consultant, she has worked on projects to predict acid-generating and metals-leaching potential of mine waste, developed site-wide water quality and water balance models, and calibrated unsaturated-zone models of flow through waste rock, tailings, and associated covers. She has also taught short courses on acid rock drainage and tailings geochemistry at conferences and technical training for clients.
