Fredy Elorrieta
Senior Consultant
Mr. Elorrieta is a mining engineer and holds a master’s degree specializing in rock mechanics from the Pontificia Universidade de Rio de Janeiro - Brazil. He has around 15 years of experience in the underground mining industry, with solid knowledge in operations control, mine planning, and applied geomechanics. His experience focuses on the exploitation of underground ore bodies and veins through Sublevel Stoping, Bench and fill, Overhand Cut and Fill, Underhand Cut and fill, and Post Room and Pillar Mining. In the academic field, Mr. Elorrieta has developed his research emphasizing numerical methods for the mechanical understanding of the rock mass, acquiring solid knowledge in the discrete element method, finite difference method, and finite element method. He also combines this knowledge with analytical and empirical techniques as part of the ground control management plan program. Mr. Elorrieta currently works as a Senior Consultant for the mine industry in Perú.
