Nils Ehringhausen

Project Engineer

Nils Ehringhausen studied Geosciences at the Ruhr-University Bochum and finished with a M.Sc. degree in applied geology.

In his Master's thesis, he dealt with the evaluation of the comparability for different destructive and non-destructive tests to estimate the elastic constants of cement. His thesis was used as the foundation for a scientific paper published in the course of EUROCK 2017.

In September 2017 he joined Itasca Consultants GmbH in Gelsenkirchen, first as an intern and as full-time project engineer since January 2018. Since then he has on worked on several national and international mining and civil engineering projects. The scope of his projects included geological model construction, room and pillar mine design for salt and gold mines, design for freezing shafts, as well as estimations regarding the influence of old mining infrastructure on road construction.
